Revolution Rumors

Well, Nintendo has already said that the "revolutionary" aspect of their next-generation console is the controller, saying that it "won't be like a normal controller." Those two comments alone have had everyone going wild demanding additional information. Nintendo fans everywhere have started creating mock-up controllers, and new ones come in every week.

Basically people are looking to the DS' capabilities as a reference for ideas of what Nintendo has in store. Ideas like touch screen, voice recognition and the power glove for the original Nintendo Entertainment System come to mind based on professionally published rumors and speculation from members of NinBit's forum community. Also, printed on the controller mocks include new ideas that haven’t been explained such as a "tracker pad" and separated parts. Almost all of them do not have enough buttons to allow gameplay of the retro downloads that will be available on the system.

Along with the controller comes the media attachments. Only one of these media attachment mock-ups has been created to my knowledge, since everyone seems to be focused on the controller. By the blue symbols at the top, it seems to allow some sort of audio playback, DVD or VHS video and something to do with traveling.

The rankings are based on how well each design looks, the number of buttons (They need a certain amount to play the downloadable retro games.), realism and detail of the design and, of course, personal opinion.
