Reggie confirms special Twilight Princess features through Revolution.
In a recent interview with EGM Magazine, Nintendo's very own Reggie Fils-Aime has confirmed that some sort of special functionality will be available for Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess through the Nintendo Revolution.
According to Reggie, "“The trick will be what makes it special to play on the Revolution, and to the extent that we could create something like that, boy, wouldn't that be fantastic?”. Boy it sure would. Like recent rumors have suggested, the title would utilize the innovative Revolution controller to provide gamers with a much newer experience. Launching arrows would be as easy as holding the B labeled trigger located on the controller’s back side and simply retracting with you’re arm as you would with a real arrow, fishing would be more life-like through the controllers rod-like shape, and of course slashing enemies down would be as easy as brandishing the Revolution controller through the air.
This may be the reason for the recent delay the title has received. Originally planned for a December 2005 release, Twilight Princess was delayed until April 2006. If that was not bad enough, just last week Reggie confirmed the title would be delayed until November 2006, a near Revolution launch. Since the Revolution will be backward compatible with GameCube titles, Nintendo may just be planning to have Twilight Princess function on the Revolution and release it around the same time period to draw more Revolution sales but still satisfying the GameCube fan base by launching it as a GameCube game.
