Nintendo has shot down the rumor that the Revolution's vertical stand will be the power supply.
The UK's Official Nintendo Magazine said in their last issue that the vertical stand for the Revolution will be it's power supply, but Nintendo declares this false.
A Nintendo spokesperson declared: "We have not announced any details of the Nintendo power supply at this time". Using the stand as power supply was a bad idea anyways, because the owners would have to use the Revolution in the vertical position. Even still, Nintendo didn't completely deny the possibility, so the stand may be used for a different purpose.
