Activision's upcoming sequel to True Crime: Streets of LA boasts the most realistic depiction of New York City ever featured in a videogame.
Activision's upcoming True Crime: New York City promises the most authentic representation of The Big Apple ever produced in a videogame.

True Crime's protagonist, Marcus Reed, will travel through "GPS-accurate" portrayals of Manhattan streets including subways and landmarks, hundreds of interior locations, and real depictions of New York City neighborhoods such as Harlem, Chinatown, and Times Square.

The developers at Luxoflux are poised to deliver a genuine rendition of the state capital, promising they have captured the very atmosphere of the city--the sounds, with voiceovers from actual New Yorkers and the faithful inclusion of the city's distinct, cacophonous traffic; the sights, placing specific attention to detail on the distinct architecture of each locale and authenticity in representing the interior locations included; and the culture, forcing the player to travel the way New York residents do and properly representing the denizens of each neighborhood.

The title is scheduled to arrive on the Nintendo GameCube, Sony PlayStation 2, and Microsoft Xbox this fall, and has yet to receive a rating from the Entertainment Sofware Ratings Board. Its predecessor received an "M-for-mature" rating from the ESRB.
