Peripheral promises years of unlimited wireless play.

Intec, a leader in sales and manufacturing of videogame accessories spanning multiple platforms, announced its new line of "Unlimited Rechargeable Wireless Controllers" for the Nintendo GameCube, Sony Playstation 2, and Microsoft Xbox platforms. Bundled with a rechargeable battery pack and a connection cable, the new peripheral promises hours of uninterrupted play, especially designed for the hardcore gaming enthusiast.

The third-party device looks to rival Nintendo's own WaveBird controller on the GameCube market, running at a frequency of 2.4GHz--an industry standard and one that allows for precise, responsive controls for the player. In addition, the included battery pack lasts for 500 charges, each offering as many as sixty hours of game-play. And, to ensure that the battery doesn't expire during play, a link cable is also included. Connecting the controller to its receiver with the cable allows the peripheral to recharge and the player to continue play simultaneously. And in this case, the charge only takes four hours.

Features:

  • Turbo buttons, as well as the traditional buttons for the platform.
  • Dual vibration motors and a rumble feature that can be turned on and off.
  • Auto-sensing technology which accomodates sixteen players at a given time. (Sixteen of these controllers can be used at once in the same room.)
  • A sleep function that shuts down the controller after five minutes of idle time.
  • An LED indicator to show when the battery is low.

Intec's device is set to ship on August 15; the GameCube version of the controller is expected to retail at $29.99.
