Nintendo released information that confirms your favorite Nintendo Classics will be downloadable on the Revolution, for free!
"People sort of picked on us for not prematurely jumping into online or Internet gaming, Revolution will have no real problem standing up to PS3 and Xbox 360," George Harrison, Nintendo employee reported to Gamespot recently, right before the announcement of the free classics. This gives Nintendo fans less to worry about, considering the survey that was conducted recently that came out with only five percent of consumers wanting the Revolution.
This is good for everyone, especially with Nintendo fans with emulators taking up their computer space. Nintendo knows even if you’re a Sony or Xbox fan, you’re always a retro fan. Don't get super excited though, whether N64 games are considered classic cannot be determined by Harrison's comments alone, and he wasn’t exactly clear on how many titles the Revolution will be able to hold either. Also, third-party developers can still charge money, it's their God-given right.
