Capcom's highly anticipated shooter was released today for the Nintendo GameCube and Sony PlayStation 2 platforms.
After a long development cycle, Capcom released Killer 7 today for the Nintendo GameCube and Sony PlayStation 2 game consoles.
The highly anticipated first-person shooter puts the player in the role of Herman Smith, an assassin with power over seven alternate personas, each of which acts as a playable character in the game with his own strengths, abilities, and set of weapons. One can select which of these personalities he has control over at any time in the game, and the individual talents of each of the seven must be employed to progress through the title. In addition, the game possesses unique, strikingly dark cel-shaded visuals to take a "postmodern" approach--as Capcom puts it--to the game's environments.
Killer 7 takes place in a time where world peace has been achieved--and all the agents that could possibly threaten it have theoretically been eradicated. Herman Smith, the master over his seven alternate personalities, is assigned to stop an emerging threat to the established peace, an underworld ruler that unleashes belligerous soldiers on the world known as "Heaven's Smile" that have been disrupting the peace on city streets.
Killer 7 has been rated mature by the ESRB and retails for $49.99.
