Nintendo-Europe announced two new colors coming to the DS today, pink and blue.
The new models are slated for an October 7th release in Europe, joining the top-selling silver edition to increase sales. That is, of course, the same date Nintendogs is expected to be released in Europe. The DS has already sold one million units in Europe, and many more in Japan and the United States, and with the price drop, Nintendogs and the new colors, I think this handheld war is in the bag for Nintendo.
"With three new color choices now available and the launch of the groundbreaking Nintendogs in time for Christmas, we will continue to expand the handheld market and will be well on track to achieving sales of over three million Nintendo DS across Europe by the end of this year." Jim Merrick, Senior Director, European Marketing said.
